So here’s another health update! Today, I had an appointment with my Primary Care Physician, AKA my 2nd mom. To be honest, it was way overdue. When I can not see my PCP, I see the nurse practitioner, AKA my 3rd mom lol. With that being said, we had A LOT, to cover and go over. The very first thing she said to me was, “OMG Xio, you look great!” I told her about my decision to stop all medications, with the exception of my allergy meds, and how I wanted to move towards natural and holistic healing. With her Indian origin, she was all for it & very proud of my decision.
Now let me back track, I have had the same PCP ever since I was 9 years old, and I am 27 years old now. So we have a bond, and I trust her, and she trusts me. When everything first started, she worked and sent me to EVERY specialist, until they figured out what was causing complete hell and misery. Before pushing me to ANY medications, she told me about Turmeric, and all of its healing qualities. At first, it was hard to stick to everything she was telling me, but with me taking this HUGE chance, and learning my body and how to heal it, I’ve been doing everything she’s suggested, and have been seeing, and feeling the differences!
I know this is really long, so moving along, after catching up and examining, she called me over to look at my past few visits. From May 2018 until Today, I have lost 20 lbs, my pressure is thebomb.com and my heart rate is not only, out of the 100s, but a normal 79! This journey has been rough, and I appreciate my PCP more than she will ever know or understand. It’s not easy being a doctor, with all of the politics in healthcare, demands by the pharmaceutical companies, etc. it’s hard to direct people to go “natural” when you’re a “doctor” prescribing meds, BUT my 2nd mom, does not let that come in between her beliefs, and her passion to care for others. I love both my PCP, and my Nurse Practitioner, they really do work together, and stand by my decisions. They’re quick to tell me NO, when something doesn’t feel right or sit well with them, or to help me make the best decision for myself & daughter. I decided to share my results, but of course, I wouldn’t show you guys my weight, you sillies 😜 lol. However, just know I am down 20 lbs since May, and it has NOT been easy. I have a huge support system that I am beyond grateful for! I am a walking testimony, live in action! I started this blog to motivate myself, and to help inspire and motivate others as well. I still have a ways to go, but I’m on my way. I promise you, my journey will touch the lives and help many. You’re NOT alone, no one illness or disease is the same, BUT the treatment and solution is the same, living a natural and healthier lifestyle; by learning our bodies, learning how to care for, and heal it. “Healthy people, do NOT need doctors.” If no one else is on your side, I AM, I have to say it’s far from easy, but it is doable! And I am willing to take the first step, to proving it! Thank you again for your support! Click, like, share 💜
