Hey guys !
Soooo Wednesday I had the BEST clinical day so far, since nursing school. I was able to be in the operating room for 7 hours! It was so cool! Although it was the dopest experience, it was A LOT of wear and tear on my body. My body was drained, fatigued, achy, and the very next day I did not feel good AT ALL! I had low grade fever, aching joints, swelling, vomiting, and yea TMI. So I went to urgent care; my pressure was high and I didn’t want ANYTHING to come in between school.
My first thoughts were, ok Xio you JUST started school. What the heck?!? After being seen at urgent care, the physician recommended I go to the Emergency Room. I felt that coming… I decided not to go, I know, the best idea. I figured it was the long day prior; my body adjusting to the demands of nursing school, and the anxiety of the first exam, which by the way, is 3 days away! So I decided NOT to go to urgent care.
The next day, which was today, I woke up feeling a tad bit better, but I still had some swelling, I felt achy, and my pressure felt like it was rising again. Rewind to the day before, my pressure was 140/100 at the urgent care. Extremely high for my recent, trend,”normal”. Anyways my vitals were great! But the PA, felt the need to rule out any clots. The good news was I was clot free, and my blood pressure and vitals remained stable. Music to my ears 😍😍! Now if you know me, you know I used to be in and out of the doctors, urgent care, hospital like it was my full time job. This time last year, they would’ve kept me overnight minimum for observation. It was definitely a little nerve wrecking, and probably wasn’t the best idea to wait a day, but I am glad to say my health journey has yet again, proved I am slowly healing. This journey is hard. I should probably eat a lot better, and definitely need to exercise more. However, maintaining some exercise, and by taking control, stopping my meds, eliminating parts of my diet, taking vitamins, juice plus, and drinking a lot more alkaline water, I can feel the difference! Yes, my body reacted, and yes, I still had to get a check, but it was the quickest visits ever, and overall I am doing great! Trust me if I can do it, YOU can do it! It’s a process but it’s so rewarding ! Keep following for more content!
